The peace of Erigavo is hampered by the disorganized Sanaag Regional Government

At least 20,000 families who fled Eerigabo due to violence by various Somaliland forces in late 2024, are still scattered in cities in Sanaag, Sool and Bari regions, while the new government is still trying to implement full peace in Eerigabo district.

Although the government of Somaliland is proud of a large-scale conference on the peace of the communities living in the Sanaag region in Eerigabo, it has raised many questions as to why President Abdirahman Irro is silent about the living conditions of the people's families who have been displaced from Erigavo even once, apart from an earlier promise that he will resettle those people.

The government of Somaliland and the President of Somaliland, Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi (Irro) have failed to make a clear plan to revive the dead confidence of the administration of Sanaag Region, despite the number of times it has been loudly proposed to make significant changes in the administration of the region, which he handed over to his own family and uprooted other families in the region.
